January 2022 Week 1
Friday 07th January
I would like to thank everyone for working so hard to ensure 2021 ended on such a high. We managed to complete all the planned events and only just missed out on the Christmas visit to the church. We hope to apply the same determination to the Spring Term, with the expectation that pupils will give their best effort to achieve their full potential in gaining knowledge and learning new skills. There may be setbacks but we will continue to approach each task ahead with a 'can-do' attitude to ensure that our pupils maintain access to activities and high quality learning opportunities in its many forms.

Covid-19 Update
Since Wednesday 22 December, the 10 day self-isolation period for people who receive a positive PCR test result for COVID-19 has been reduced to 7 days, unless you cannot test for any reason.
Individuals including children under 5 may now conduct a lateral flow test on day 6 and day 7 of their self-isolation period, 24 hours apart. Those who receive two negative test results are no longer required to complete 10 full days of self-isolation as long as they do not have a high tempreature. After the second negative test result, isolation can end and they can return to your education or childcare setting from day 7.
If you live in the same household as someone with COVID-19
Anyone who has symptoms of COVID-19 should stay at home, self-isolate immediately and order a PCR test.*
If you do not have symptoms of COVID-19 and live in the same household as someone with COVID-19, you are legally required to self-isolate unless you meet any of the following conditions:
you are fully vaccinated
you are below 18 years 6 months
you have taken part in or are currently part of an approved COVID-19 vaccine trial
you are not able to get vaccinated for medical reasons
Given the high number cases, despite government legislation, Barnet Local Authority and the school would still recommend a period of self-isolation if a positive contact is within a family living together.
*Due to the increasing numbers of cases, the delays in obtaining LFT and PCR tests in the last few days, and staff shortages in key work sectors, there may be further changes in the advice given by the government. We ask that you look out for texts and refer to the school for information rather than automatically going to parent groups and social media to get information regarding any COVID situation impacting the school.
Thank you again for working collaboratively with us and hope that through this we manage to maintain a relatively uninterrupted Spring term as we managed in the Autumn.
Junior Bake-Off
Junior Bake Off is here! Harry Hill, Liam Charles and Ravneet Gill will be joined by 16 of Britain’s best junior bakers, ready to show the world that they can bake anything they can imagine. One of the bakers is former Livingstone pupil Mia, who is now in Year 7 at a local Barnet Secondary School. The show is on Channel 4 on Monday 10th Jan at 5pm! Good Luck Mia!
School Money
We are aware of the issues some parents have been experiencing when trying to make bookings and payments online. School Money have tried to rectify this, however if you are still having problems, they have requested the following information to investigate further:
name of child
at what point in the process the message shows
the time and date of the message
These details will help them search for the error in your logs and we would appreciate it if you could provide us with the details when reporting the error so we can pass them on.
Thank you!
Mrs Kelly
