June Week 1

Friday 9th June

Come and have a great time at our Summer Fair 1-4pm this Saturday. It’s not too late to help and everyone please bring family and friends!

We are all concerned about the possible risks of going into Central London for school trips in the light of recent events. As a school, we have sought advice from the Local Education Authority, and taken additional precautions such as adding additional staff for school trips. We will also ensure that the school office will relay messages to parents throughout the day. If, notwithstanding these additional measures, you would still prefer not to allow your child to go on today’s trip, please let us know as soon as possible and we will arrange for them to undertake alternative activities in school.

We will be holding our last parent rep meeting of the year next Friday at 9am in the CABIN. If you wish to put yourself forward for office, please complete the application form attached to the newsletter and please come along for an introductory session. A parent rep has to be available to attend meetings for half an hour on the second Friday of every half term. Come and represent parent views and make a difference to the school.

Congratulations to the following children for demonstrating Liberty (listening and allowing others to talk, and thinking for themselves) in our school and earning themselves our special British Values badges. Y6- Jerom, Y5- Jazmin, Y4- Luke, 3BP- Mahek, 3R- Maria, 2G- Andra, 2E- Tarannom, Y1- Victor.

The Book Fair is coming to our school from Monday 26th to Wednesday 29th June. Come and join us after school on Monday. Tuesday and Wednesday in the library where we will have a great selection of books for sale. Any books purchased will earn free books for the school

Refurb-It-All (a building company) are looking for an Admin Assistant for flexible part time work – please call Sanj 07854100884 if you are interested.

On Tuesday KS1 and 2 took part in their annual Sports day. The whole school did tremendously well with great effort from every single year and team. The KS1 competition was very competitive and all the children did their very best in every race.  Unfortunately we had to abandon the KS2 competition due to bad weather. We would to thank all our parents for their support during Sports day and invite KS2 back to complete the events during the Cultural Day Picnic on the 26th June (to be confirmed).

Paris trip

The pupils had a fabulous time in Paris. The weather was magical and everything seemed to sparkle.

Paris was really fun. We bought lots of different things, we got an ice cream and I spoke French in a Patisserie.

The worst part was waking up early! (By Daisy)

Everyone loved the boat trip, as you can see this was the view of the Eiffel Tower from the River Seine.

Thank you to Ms Finn, Mrs Boucon, Mrs Phelan and a special ‘Merci Beaucoup’ to Miss Papas for organising the wonderful day!
