November Week 1
Friday 4th November
Letters have been sent home to the parents of pupils in Years 1, 2 & 3 asking for permission to vaccinate your child/children by nasal spray against the flu virus. Please complete the form and return it to the office asap.
Vaccination against illnesses works best if everyone gets it done. So please help everyone stay healthy this winter and return your forms asap.
We hope that the Impact Meetings have been beneficial by giving you more of an insight into how to work with the school in supporting your child/children’s learning. Please speak to the class teacher if you have any more questions. Impact Meetings continue next week and a new date will be provided for the Year 5 meeting as soon as possible.
Thank you to those who made the last PTA meeting, we had a lovely evening and met some new mums.
For the time being the meetings will be run as a group, taking place at various times and venues to give everyone a chance to come. Keep an eye on the text messages to find out when the next one is going to be. The Christmas fair is on Saturday 3rd December 1-4pm. Please put it in your diary and make sure you invite all your friends and relatives. Help is needed and this is how you can help:
Come to Cabin every Friday morning to help organise (plus Thurs 17.11.16 and Thurs 24.11.16)
Join our PTA Whatsapp group by giving your number to the office and they will pass it onto the Whatsapp administrator
Make a donation to the raffle. Do you work for a business that is able to offer a voucher? E.g. Beauty treatment/MOT... or can you contact a local business and ask for a donation? Contact the office if you can and we can provide a letter if needed or can even design and print the voucher.
Help is desperately needed on Friday 2nd and all day Saturday 3rd. We will be at the school gate very soon taking volunteer names. Please help if you can. Non uniform donations days are listed in the Diary Dates. PTA Committee
Its that time of year again where we are supporting the Poppy Appeal for The Royal British Legion and from next week Poppies will be available in the office and classrooms for your child/children to buy for a small donation. We will also be holding a Cake Sale on Friday 11th November at 3.15pm to raise extra money for the charity. All donations are greatly appreciated.
Friday 18th November will be a day supporting Children In Need where children are invited to wear the ‘Pudsy’ accessories and a special assembly will be held for pupils to bring in and donate as much small change as they can. The class that raises the most will be rewarded with extra golden time!!
