Year 3 Nativity

Friday 12th December

Every year, in the run up to Christmas, Year 3 make and perform a nativity Christmas show for the rest of the school and their parents to watch. They are always backed up by Year 1 and 2 who sing and dance throughout the performance amazingly. This year the show is called I'm Gonna Shine and was also done by my class [the current year 6s] 3 years ago. It will be so much fun to watch it again! I am sure many children and parents are looking forward to watching it next week! Thank you to the year 1, 2 and 3 teachers for creating such an amazing show. Can't wait to watch!

Christmas Fair

On Friday, all of the pupils at Livingstone school had lots of fun at the Christmas fair!! We had Mr Madle's and Mr Sudbury's famous BBQ hot dogs and even some cheesy nachos! We had an amazing tombola full of toys and sweets while Christmas music played in the background.

After all the fun, we had Mrs Phelan host her famous raffle which many people were lucky to win many prizes such as a toy hamper, a food hamper, a luxury hamper and drinks hamper with many more options !! :)

Thank you to all the parents and teachers who helped out at the fair and gave everyone a wonderful experience! We raised over £4000, so thank you for your support.

Santa Claus is coming to Town

Last Thursday, most of our school went to Santa's Grotto - which was built by Mr Sudbury and Emily in reception's mum was a great elf! When you went in, you got a present and a photo with Santa. Unfortunately, that day had heavy rain and the grotto was flooded. Some called it Santa's Swamp!!! Luckily, Mr Sudbury saved the day:)

Years 3 and 4 Chicken Shed Christmas Panto

2XKVuwpxu3-SkD

On Tuesday 2nd December Year 3 and Year 4 attended the Chicken Shed Christmas panto. In short, they performed Little Red Riding hood - but with a twist. Instead of the wolf being the villain, Little Red Riding hood's grandmother was the villain introducing a new series of events instead of the boring, old story we all know This experience has provided pupils with confidence, resilience and determination which are hard to develop in a normal classroom environment. Overall Year 3 and 4 had a wonderful experience.

Comedy Night Success

The Comedy night which was hosted by Joe Borr (Milo's dad in year 5) was a great success. We were lucky to have many great comedians such as Ian Sterling who has appeared on many TV shows. It was lovely to see many familiar faces come and support Livingstone and the PTA, from staff (new and old), parents, friends - thank you. The night was full of games and laughter! We look forward to it happening again soon.

Year 3 Xmas Carols in the Spires

Year 3 made us incredibly proud at The Spires last week! They performed a wonderful selection of Christmas songs, including pieces from their show and some traditional festive favourites. The atmosphere was magical, and it was fantastic to see so many parents and carers there to support them. Well done Year 3!

Carter Plays the Piano

Carter from Year 3 impressed everyone in today’s assembly with a wonderful piano performance of ‘Jingle Bells’. The highlight continued with an encore, where all the children joined in and sang together beautifully. Well played Carter.

Mixed Football vs Christchurch

On Thursday 11th of December, the Mixed football team of Livingstone primary went up against the all-mighty football team of Christ church. To us (the team) it was just a normal match against a normal school but to Mr Thomas it was an old reuniting of teacher and student - turns out their coach was actually his old P.E teacher. We started the game with Mikolaj (in goal), Kevin and Skye in defence, Stefi,Edward and Elsie in midfield with Leon as striker and Dotty and I (Anwen). The game started really tight Mikolaj making good saves Elsie, Stefi and Leon taking good shots but just missing. We scored our first goal about 15 minutes into the match Stefi scored a really good goal from around the box. Right after they kicked off after the goal Stefi scored another goal making the score 2-0 to us at half time.In the second half we had some shots but they had more. 1 of the goals they scored was really unlucky for us it just kept rebounding and finally they scored. Nearly 5 minutes were left in the match when they scored a good goal right in the bottom corner.

The game ended 2-2 but scince this was a League match we are still in it so COME ON LIVINGSTONE!😀

KS1 Festive Sports Festival

On Wednesday 10th of December KS1 attended a sports festival in Stone X’s stadium in Barnet. There were two teams, one team of five and one team of six, only eleven pupils attended the sports festival. The children played many different games and challenges but there were no points, so the children play for the fun of playing them and not to win. As a result, the children gained different life skills: determination, perseverance and self-confidence. Thank you to Miss Fairly for making this all possible and thank you to Miss Burnett, Mrs Stevens. BY Mikolaj

Years 5 and 6 Mixed Football Tournament

On Thursday the 27th of November, Livingstone was asked to attend a mixed football tournament at Power League. We sent two teams made up of Year 5s and Year 6s. The Red team played 5 games against 3 other schools: Their first game (which was against Goldbeaters) was won 1-0 with an amazing goal from Zak. They played against Monkfrith who (sadly) beat us 1-0, Danegrove who beat us 3-0 and then 1-0 and finally, Goldbeaters again - the score in that game was 0-0. Overall, they played excellently and impressed us throughout the whole tournament. Thank you to Milo, Zachariah, George, Ellis, Eli, Zak, Ryan, Soroiyan and finally, ME!!!!!! Now, onto the Blue team. They played 4 games against 4 schools starting with Akiva. After a hard seven minutes, the match ended at 0-0. They then played St Catherines who won the game 1-0, All Saints (also 1-0) and finally, Walting Park where we finally won with a tremendous goal from Elsie, ending the game 1-0. Thank you to Anwen, Elsie, Edward, Kevin, Stefi, Leon and Mikolaj. And we also need to thank the amazing teachers who made this possible... Mr Madle, Mr Thomas and Miss Fairley!

Livingstone vs Alma

At Livingstone you may have heard that we win a lot of sports (we're so good), but on the 3rd of December our skills were put to the test in a match against Alma. Both teams tried their best, but we beat them 3-0. Elsie, Year 6, scored two goals and Dotty (also Year 6) scored one goal. This was a girls' league match and their second, so it is quite an important match. Well done team !!! :)

Netballers victorious against St Catherines

On Wednesday the 10th of December, we played a netball match against St Catherines. Our team played a match and we won 7- 0. We had to battle really hard as loads of the teammates on the other team were very tall and strong ( I know that because they pushed and shoved me but its netball and your not allowed contact). Kevin played fantastically and scored 5 goals and got man of the match. Mikolaj scored 2 goals and it was his first match ( I scored 2 in my first match as well) everyone played incredibly, so well done to them (even though I am on the team).
