January Week 2

Friday 12th January

Uniform standards are slipping again and pupils are starting to come in with multi-coloured trainers, fashion boots and patterned track-suits and t-shirts.

Please remember that we have a school PE kit which should be kept in school at all times and that black shoes and predominately black trainers are the school uniform.

Hair ribbons and hairbands also need to small, neat and in keeping with the school colours.

Teddy Bear's Picnic

“Terrific”, “Magical” and “Amazing” were just some of the words that our children used to describe their experience of the Teddy Bear’s Picnic. This event is an inclusive multi skills festival for select children. The children took part in lots of different activities, with their teddy bears, which were all run by Sports Leaders from local secondary schools, also with their teddy bears. Each session the children took part in was different and aimed to get them moving and exercising, they took part in lots of activities including; dancing, football, throwing and catching and skipping. At the end of the festival, a very special stuffed animal popped by to present the children with some certificates, Sarrie the Camel (the Saracens RFC team mascot).

Livingstone Pupils taking part in the many fun activities.

Ged, Rashed, Sogol, Freddie, LilyS, Rebecca, Josh, Lisa, Teddy, Rohan, Artillion & Kiera.

Aladdin ‘Oh yes it is. Oh no it isn’t!'

Some parents may have noticed that the Panto which was scheduled on Tuesday on the newsletter was actually performed on the Thursday. That did not however have a negative impact of the performance. Pupils from Year 4 had a wonderful time taking on many of the additional roles and everyone got to have fun watching the show.

Reception and Nursery will be the first classes to get their Newsletters by email and other classes will be added one week at a time to enable us to manage the process. Letters are available in the office.

Sarah Hollidge - PE Apprentice

We are pleased to announce that we have a new P.E Apprentice starting this term. Sarah is joining us straight out of a Sports Science qualification at City of Islington College. She will be with us on Wednesday and Friday to support in P.E lessons and help our children be more active. Look out for her on Wednesday and Friday mornings, she will be out in the playground ready to start her wake n shake activities at 8.40. Jodie who worked with us last term is now following opportunities for higher education. We would like to thank her for her work and wish her all the best with her endeavours.
