November Week 2
Friday 08th November
Kindness Week
This year we are theming Anti-Bullying week on Kindness. We will start the week by commemorating Remembrance Day and this will be followed by assemblies and activities emphasising the importance of being kind to others.
In view of this, please can I remind parents/carers to be mindful and kind to each other outside the school gates. It can get very congested in the morning and at home time. It has been mentioned at the Parent Rep meeting that there is little space, especially for parents with buggies. Please show consideration and patience, as acts of kindness are very good for the well-being of everyone.
Sports Councillors
Meet your new sports councillors! Children from years 1 to 6 have been voted by their peers to represent their classroom to support P.E throughout our school. They will be leading exciting activities and helping Miss Fairley with all things sport! Congratulations to Nadine and Matthew (Y1), Diya and Dante (Y2), Hattie and Alex (Y3), Noah and Amie (Y4), Lily and Nathan (5B), Hailey and Oli (5S), Joseph and Maya (6B) and Jack and Isabella (6S).
Parking and traffic down Baring Road is becoming a major source of concern. We are alerting parents/carers to the dangers posed by the numbers of cars, going at speed and mounting the pavement. Please be vigilant and keep your children near to you especially those on scooters. Please also ensure that pupils leave the vehicle kerbside when getting out.
In addition to this, we still have parents/carers parking on the yellow lines and over the drives of neighbours. Please show some courtesy and park within the law.
We try our best to keep the cost down for families but this year, we have had to raise our school uniform prices. We also have good quality uniform that pupils have outgrown available from the office.
Children In Need-Loose Change Collection on Friday 15th!
Poppies
Next week will be your last chance to get Poppies, Wristbands and Key rings. There will also be a Poppy Cake Sale after school on Monday 11th November
Girl's Football
On Friday 1st November the girls’ football team had an away match against Underhill. They started with the ball but we quickly got it off them. For the first half it was back and forth, with many throw-ons along the way. On one particular throw-on from Underhill they managed to score a goal. However, there were many times when we almost scored. We tried our hardest and we only lost 1:0. By Naomi
Headlice
Headlice is a serious problem in the school so please keep hair tied back, make sure you routinely check your child/ren and treat them with the correct medication.
Pudsey
Pudsey merchandise can be worn on Friday and we will be excising to Joe Wickes fitness video! Don’t forget to bring in your spare change!

Children from year 5 and 6 took part in a tag rugby festival. Despite turning up late, Livingstone dominated going unbeaten the whole day, winning 7 out of 9 and drawing the other two. The children took their positive attitude, determination and resilience from the training field on to the pitch, serving them well. A big well done to all those who took part; Ryley, Malachi, Zoe, Daisy. Harry L, Isaiah, Scarlett, Lillie, Aedan, Jack C, Tyler C, Sammie, Gabriela, Ella and Adon.
