October Week 2

Friday 12th October

Year 2 Visit to Fire Station!

On Wednesday, Year 2 visited the Barnet Fire Station as part of their topic the Great Fire of London. We had a tour of the station where we saw the Watch room, the mess and the gym that the fire fighters train in to get fit. We also got to go inside the fire engines and used the hoses to spray water. Alyssa said “It was a good day and I really enjoyed using the hose to spray the buckets.”

Boccia Tournament!

Maisie, David, Kamyar, Spyros, Zack and Jotham participated in the Boccia Tournament and won certificates for Fair Play. They tried their best and stood out for their excellent behaviour and for their friendliness to the competitors from other schools.

The Wilds Café is providing cakes for MacMillan Coffee Morning/Cake Sale Lunch Hall 9 am onwards and Playground 3:15. Please help by donating too!

Tag Rugby Tournament

Yesterday, children from Year 5S and 5BB went to a Tag rugby tournament. We faced other schools like All Saints, Goldbeaters, Orion and many more. Even though we tried our best, it was hard because the other schools had more practice. Altogether we scored 4 goals. We faced three teams and played one team twice. Overall, it was super fun and a special thanks to our adult supervisors Mr Thomas and Mrs Church.
