October Week 2

Firday 11th October

Black History Week

The Continent of Africa, Mo Farah, Jesse Owens, and The Civil Rights Movement just a few of the topics covered in Black History Week. Thank you to Miss Papas for another insightful and motivational Black History Week.

Boccia Tournament

nl2(17)

On Tuesday pupils from the Kingfisher classes attended a Boccia tournament at the fabulous new Unitas Youth Zone (Spyros, Kamyar, David, Jotham, Zack, Nathan and Jack). They competed for the chance to represent Barnet at regional level.  Although both teams had some victories and close matches, neither progressed to the semi-finals.  They were, however, a credit to the school, as they tried their best and their behaviour was excellent.

Thank you to Miss Nicholson, Mrs Consitt and Mrs Depala for ensuring that the pupils had a wonderful time!

KS2 Cross Country

nl3(11)

On Thursday, children who took part in trials attended a cross country competition against other schools in Barnet. With practice and determination, the children managed to finish with great scores. Sammie (5B) came 6th, Gabriella (5S) came 14th, Zoe (6S) came 14th and Maisie (Y4) came 17th. It was a lovely day out and everyone who participated modelled great sporting attitudes. Well done to Noah, Tyler, Amie, Aiden, Ollie, Alfie and Alexandros and Roxy. Thank you to the parents and carers who came to support.
