April Week 3
Friday 22nd April
Mrs Knappett was chauffeured by Mr Ephgrave in his ‘luxury’ car to Hendon Town Hall to receive the Barnet Civic Award. The ‘Vellum’ was presented by Councillor Mark Shooter
Last week, following a celebration tea party at the school, Mrs Knappett was chauffeured by Mr Ephgrave in his ‘luxury’ car to Hendon Town Hall to receive the Barnet Civic Award. The ‘Vellum’ was presented by Councillor Mark Shooter, the Mayor of Barnet, in recognition of her long service to Livingstone Primary and Nursery School and for her dedication to the Kingfisher Resource Provision, pupils, parents and teachers. The Barnet Civic Award will be on display in the school hall until the end of term for anyone who wishes to see it. We would also on behalf of Livingstone, send congratulations to Mr Webster, husband of our Governor Mrs Judy Webster who was also there to receive an award for his services to the Governing body at Cromer Road.
Livingstone entered two teams in the Year 5/6 ‘3 aside’ Basketball Tournament at QE Girls School last week with an unexpected outcome. We arrived alongside 8 other schools, entering the unknown as we had never competed in basketball before. To our amazement, after playing 4 matches each, both our teams went through to the semi-finals and went on to finish 2nd and 3rd overall. A great achievement for all!
