Thank you to the PTA for another successful event. The Spring Ball was enjoyed by all. As a school we are very lucky to have such a supportive team of parents and carers who work with us for the good of the children.
Friday 9th March marks the return of our Mother’s Day Stall. This gives children the opportunity to buy gifts for their special person. All gifts are priced at near to cost as possible and the service is non-profit making.
If you have any good quality gifts (e.g. unused shower gels, candles, gift sets etc...)that you can donate to the stall it would mean that we make a small profit for the PTA. Please send in any gifts on Thursday 1st March.
Many thanks. The PTA Team

Medical Appointments
All appointments, where possible, should be made out of school hours. If this is unavoidable; for example an emergency appointment, your child should still attend school before/after the appointment. Any sibling should attend school as normal. All clinic/hospital/dentist appointments must be made in advance and be supported by an appointment letter in order to authorise any missed sessions.
Walking Home Alone – Year 5 and 6 Pupils only
We understand the need for children in Years 5 and 6 to begin to develop their independence as part of their preparation for Secondary school. Parents/carers who are happy for their child to walk home alone must sign the ‘walk home permission slip’ and return it to school by Monday 5th March. If the school does not receive this permission slip your child will not be permitted to walk home by themselves.
Traffic
Parking and traffic down Baring Road is becoming a major source of concern. We are alerting parents/carers to the dangers posed by the numbers of cars, lorries and coaches going at speed and mounting the pavement. Please be vigilant and keep your children near to you especially those on scooters.
In addition to this, we still have parents/carers parking over the drives of neighbours. Please show some courtesy park within the law.
Year 5 - Congratulations Boys!
