January Week 3
Friday 17th January
As you might have heard, there have been two unfortunate incidents outside the school this month involving some parents which has led to the police being called. We are working with the parents concerned and other agencies to try to ensure that there is no repeat. However, the message that this behaviour sends out to the children, other parents, our neighbours and members of the public is a distorted one. We maintain the highest standards of behaviour within our school and the pupils achieve the best possible outcomes because of the quality of education we provide. The staff have been very upset by the impression created as it undermines all their hard work. So on behalf of everyone working at Livingstone, we speak as one, when we say, despite these setbacks Livingstone remains a safe and welcoming environment for all.
Year 3/4 Kurling 15.1.20
Children were selected to represent Livingstone at a New Age Kurling event. The children modelled superb sporting values and excellent skills where they progressed into the semi-finals placing 4th. Well done to Jamie, Emmanuel, Zack (Y4), Aiden and Nathan (Y3) Thank you to Miss Nicholson and Alfie.
Is that Year 4 performing ‘Beauty and the Beast’?
Oh yes it is! And having lots of fun!
Thank you to Tickled Pink for putting on a great show.
Year 2 at the Barnet United Synagogue
Water Bottles
Pupils have been bringing in water bottles with flavoured water or added juice to their drinking water.
The school will only permit water in water bottles as it is not recommended by dentists and health professional that pupils should be taking sips of these drinks throughout the day.
So for pupils who do not like the taste of natural water but need to drink, we ask that parents send in their water with a note, explaining the reasons and the pupils will be permitted to drink at break times and at lunch times.
Y6 Football 16.1
Boys from year 6 attended a football competition at Friern Barnet Powerleague. The boys had little practice but this didn’t hold them back. They managed to win 2 games out of 5 where they demonstrated great team work. Well done to JJ, Malachai, Kiah, Adam, Aedan, Harry.L, Samy and Ryley.
