June Week 3
Friday 24th June
Our Boys Relay Team stormed to victory and we won the Tug of War Cup
Our choir sang their hearts out at the Artsdepot Theatre
Copthall Athletics- Just under fifty pupils attended the Barnet Schools Athletic Competition at the Allianz Stadium on Tuesday and performed to the best of their ability to finish 2nd overall. Emmanuel and Daniel B won three events and there were so many outstanding top three performances. Our Boys Relay Team stormed to victory and we won the Tug of War Cup. Thank you to Pete, Mr Gardner and Mr Madle for preparing the pupils for this event and to Miss Breen, Mrs Barton, Mrs Church Mr Boucon and all the parents/ carers who came along to support.
Music Festival-On Monday evening, while England were putting on a fairly uninspiring performance at the Euros, our choir sang their hearts out at the Artsdepot Theatre. We were very proud of all the pupils, as their behaviour was exemplary and their performance outstanding. All the parents/carers that were able to attend had a wonderful evening. Thank you to Mrs Britton and Miss King (Our Music Teacher) for working with the children throughout the year and for putting on a performance of such a high standard. DVDs of the event are available to order at the office.
Last Friday Livingstone hosted a tournament for pupils from different schools. Over 100 children competed for their schools whilst the steel pans were playing in the background creating a lovely atmosphere. Pete coaches the Yr 5 Bears and all the children improved and enjoyed themselves as the afternoon went on. The Year 6 Poochies coached by Mr Ephgrave reached the semi-finals but unfortunately lost 1-0 in a tight affair. Livingstone Bears – Arta, Parsa, Daniel A, Alex, Malakai, Todd, Aaron and Aarshan. Livingstone Poochies – Bobby (Year 5), Harry T, Louis, Josh R, Terence, Josh H, Tyler C, Harvey N and Ollie J.
Travelling books are bringing their books to our school from Monday 27th to Wednesday 29th June. Come and join us after school on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday in the library where we will have a great selection of books for sale. Any books purchased will earn free books for the school and if you buy 2 books you get a 3rd one free.
On Sunday the 3rd of July Miss Gomes and some of her family will be participating in the 60 mile London to Cambridge bike ride to raise money for the charity Breast Cancer Now. If you would like to make a donation please visit their Just Giving page by entering https://www.justgiving.com into your browser and typing 'Team Slo-Mo' into the search bar. Any amount would be greatly appreciated!
