June Week 3

Friday 19th June

Dear Parents / Carers,

Having taken part in a meeting of Barnet Headteachers and Local Authority Representatives, the emerging picture in Barnet regarding Covid 19 is a positive one and schools like Livingstone can consider bringing more year groups back into school subject to space and availability of staff.

The tentative take up of places by Year 5s has meant that we have been able to offer to 2 days to every member of this cohort wishing to return. We have now put together the bubbles and pupils in this group will be starting this coming Monday.

Based on the numbers returning across the different year groups, we feel that we can start to explore the possibility of bringing in the other cohorts and next week we will review the impact of having the 5s and decide if it is feasible to expand numbers.

The message is the same for Parents/Carers of pupils who are eligible for a place but have opted to keep their child/ren at home in previous weeks, they must contact the school if they would like to take up their place for the following week. Requests can be made directly to the class teachers via the VLE, by sending an email or by leaving a message on the school answer machine. A member of staff will contact the parents/carers to arrange a start date.

A text message went out to all parents/carers asking to confirm if they do not intend to take up places before the end of the year. Any parent/carer of a child/ren, in Nursery, Rec, Year 1, Year 6 and now Year 5, if you have not already done so, please can you let the school know if your child/ren will not be returning before September, as knowing the numbers in school will help us in making the decision to bring in more pupils.

Finally, if you would like to be considered for a key worker place please check if you meet the criteria and get in touch with the school. Follow the link for more information.
