 Friday 18th March

Could this be the start of another golden era of sport for Livingstone School, as in the week of Sport Relief and the year of the Olympics, we find our football team at the top of the league, winning 2-1 away at Manorside and the NetbalL Team comprehensively beating St John’s 8-1! Thank you to Miss Kwan and Mrs Church who run the netball club and to everyone on involved in coaching our football team. Mr Madle and Miss Breen who took the team to Manorside the match said that the whole team played exceptionally well in a very close match. Jerom, Charlie, Illinois, Emmy, Amy, Lily R, Christiana, Unique and Lydia played in the netball team and Emmanuel, Daniel B, Arda, Ozkan, Urgur, Jerom, Charlie and Illinois played football.

Thank you to all of you who took part in the school council water bottle event. Please remember to start filling your bottles with pennies once you have drunk the water. We will ask to collect these in after the Easter holidays and all money raised will go to Water Aid.

There will be few changes to staffing after Easter. Mrs Sudbury is returning from her Maternity leave and going back to Year 1A and Mrs Schia who has also had time off to have a baby is coming back to Reception Class. Miss Fairley who worked in year 5 as a teaching assistant last year, is returning to Livingstone next term to complete her teacher training in year 2AP. Miss Doig is leaving to do further training but may be returning to help out depending on  her other commitments. She has done such a great job covering for Mrs Sudbury and Miss Antoniou and we are reluctant to let her go!

Please let the office know if would like to attend the Tea Party Celebrating Mrs Knappett’s Civic Award. Tickets will be distributed next week.
