January Week 4

Friday 26th January

What an achievement!

On Friday, Livingstone played a football match against St Andrews in the quarter final of the Bailey Cup. At the beginning it was tough but luckily Henry scored a goal assisted by Luke. St Andrews almost scored but they hit the cross bar which was fortunate for us. In the second half, we scored two more goals by Henry and Joe, assisted by Charlie. Livingstone played very well and won 3-0. Man of the Match was shared between Mohammad and Archie. The team is very happy to be in the semi-final. The team: Mohammad, Kacper, Archie, Baheer,

Charlie, Luke (Y5) Bradley, Henry, Joe and Billy (Y6).

Match report by Mohammad, Charlie and Kacper.

Attendance - 96%

The attendance and punctuality of some pupils is currently a cause for concern especially with the revised standard of attendance.  To minimise the impact on learning, where possible please arrange medical appointments early in the morning or for late afternoons so that your child can still come into school and please do not keep siblings at home if one is ill.  Each week classes with the best attendance are given £1 which they can put towards an end of year treat. Please ensure that if you are thinking of booking a holiday you look carefully at the dates as we will not be authorising any holiday leave during term time.

Week ending 19th Jan

Only 3 classes meeting the requirement

Each year, every class is invited to East Barnet School to participate in a Family Festival of Sport. Pupils from local schools are given the opportunity to try out different sports in top quality facilities under the guidance of PE specialists.   This is an event created as part of the sports partnership with East Barnet. Look out for more partnership events.

On Wednesday 24th of January, our year six boys represented our school at Power league: Jack, Billy, Denis, Harvey, Henry, Bradley and Joe. The team played well but they were up against bigger schools and sadly didn’t get through to the semi-finals. All the goals were scored by Joe and Henry. By Denis and Billy)
