Safety and School Trips
School Trips have been a source of parental concern due to the risks posed from recent global terrorist attacks. We are aware that as a school we have a statutory obligation to ensure the best possible safeguards are in place to protect our pupils, therefore, at the last INSET day, all staff were given specialist training on carrying out educational visits.
As part of our practice we:
Carry out detailed risk assessments for each visit and provide information packs everyone including volunteers.
Ensure that all our minibus drivers take a national competency test.
Ensure at least one member of staff is a First Aider.
Whilst we cannot eliminate all risk, we feel that we have put in place measures to prepare staff appropriately and hope that this helps give reassurance to Parents/Carers. More information is available on Educational Visits Policy on the school website.
Still looking for volunteers for the Christmas Fair -Saturday 2nd December 1pm-4pm
