An Easter Treat!

Yr 5 treated the whole school to an Easter Assembly this week. They told us the Easter Story through some beautiful reading and some great acting. Thank you to Miss Smith, Miss Kwan, Ms Gordon and Mrs Barrett who created a video for all the classes to watch. Well done Yr 5!

Creative Reuse Success!

Thanks to an amazing job by Year 6, the phone cases that were destined for the skip have been up-cycled into usable objects.

Well done Scarlett and Erin for running a socially distanced shop in the playground and in the Library.

Toddler 'Woods and Wellies'

We have all missed Toddler Group so while we wait for it to be safe enough to return to the CABIN, parents and carers are invited to bring their under 3s to the Pond area on Tuesday 27th April from 9.15 to 11.15am for a Forest School Experience.

This introductory session will be free to everyone, with more sessions scheduled throughout the Summer Term.

Places are limited due to social distancing, so book early by phoning or emailing the office ASAP to secure a place. Don't forget your wellies and your outdoor clothes!

Parent Rep Meeting Update

Parent Rep Meeting (Part 2)

When will speech therapists and child psychologists be allowed back in school?

The speech therapists and child psychologists were advised by their own employers not to come in and are doing everything online. Hopefully this will change as lockdown restrictions are removed. Our occupational therapist and music therapist have been coming in, except when there was total lockdown.

Can staff get training in dyslexia?

Miss Kwan is our Dyslexia specialist. We have a computer program called Nessy to help with Dyslexia and all members of staff have training to varying degrees in Read Write Inc, which is recommended for helping pupils with Dyslexia.

School Uniform

Please make sure that pupils return to school with the correct uniform.

Girls: gingham dresses or grey shorts and white polo shirts

Boys: grey shorts and white polo shirts. If it is cold, please wear winter school uniform or fleeces.

Pupils should wear a white t-shirt, black tracksuit bottoms/joggers or blue school shorts on Wednesdays to do PE and physical activities.

Reception class pupils should not wear grey trousers or grey pinafores until they go into Yr 1

Black joggers are available from school at cost price or from most uniform suppliers at very reasonable cost.

Summer dresses are currently selling for under £5 in many supermarkets.

Trainers should be black and without logos.

We have free uniform to give away to any families who would like it. Please call or email the office if this offer is of interest to you and specify the ages/sizes of your children. We have sweatshirts, t-shirts, trousers, summer dresses and a whole range of clothing ready to go. You can ask for items in a specific size or request a mixed bag.
