Year 1, 2 and 3 have been working hard for the Christmas show
Year 1, 2 and 3 have been working hard for the Christmas show - The Inn-spectors. A few weeks ago, we entered our show into the Virgin Media's Christmas Stars competition and were told by the producers that they were ‘blown away by the quality, originality and creativity’ of the entries this year. The standards were extremely high and unfortunately our show was not chosen as the winner. However, the judges were really impressed with our entry and we were very proud and excited to find out that we were semi-finalists. As one of 22 runner ups, we won a cash prize of £100 and 2 ukuleles. The winnings will go towards the Christmas class parties as a celebration and reward for the children’s hard work.
Yesterday Kingfisher went to visit Santa at Gulliver’s Land. The children enjoyed many rides and received a special gift from Santa.
School Dinners
Please let us know if you would like your child to have Halal Chicken on roast day. If we have enough replies to make it cost effective, we will aim to serve Halal chicken for the Muslim pupils, when we have roast dinner.
If you would like to know more about the school meals, any parent is welcome to come into school and trial a school dinner. Speak to the office in advance of coming in.
Dentists are reporting increases in tooth decay and this is not being helped by pupils bringing in sugary drinks in their water bottles, which they then sip throughout the day. Please ensure that pupils use their bottles for water as alternatives can be very damaging to their teeth.
Tag Rugby vs Foulds
Livingstone played their second game in the rugby league on Wednesday against Foulds. Their sheer determination and enthusiasm oozed from the pitch where the children played phenomenally. They have applied everything that they have learnt in training to help them with their competitive matches, which led to a fantastic win of 13-6. Well done to Ella, Jack, Harry, Aedan, Daisy, Ryley, Jordan, Malachi and Zoe.
Unfortunately our football team lost to Orion after a very close match which ended 3-0. Harry L, Ryley, Kiah, Malachi, Adam, Aedan, Aiden and Samy. Thank you to the coaching staff and well done all!
