Our World Book Day celebrations proved to be a great success once again! Staff and pupils all dressed up as famous book characters and it was fantastic to see all the creative costumes during assembly and throughout the day.
Year 2 SATs information is included in the Impact meetings, so please make sure you attend a session at the beginning or end of the day. Due to the changes to the Year 2 SATs we have decided to run an Easter School for Year 2 children. The sessions on offer are free and will run as separate am and pm sessions. They will be quite informal and focus on core skills through fun activities. Attendance is not compulsory but to ensure that we have sufficient staffing we need to know numbers in advance.
Year 6 Easter School will be running as usual and although these classes are also voluntary, the expectation is that if your child has been invited to attend they should try to go to as many sessions as possible in order to benefit from the tutoring on offer.
The ICT Room will be open to all parents from 9am onwards on Friday 11th March to preview our new website. Pop in after your child has gone into their classroom and check it out again after Easter when it is going out live.
The School Council will be leading a fund raising event for ‘Water Aid’. Letter describing the activity will follow shortly.
