January Week 2

Friday 13th January

This is the first time that we have had a snowfall this year and despite how little has fallen we have seen the disruption it has caused.  Please note that the school will remain open when it snows unless there are severe weather conditions which prevent us from doing so. Parents will be informed by text message early in the morning, before 8 o’clock, if the school is closed and there will be a message on the school website.  The school will only be closed in exceptional circumstances so if you have not received a message that means the school is open. Please let the office know your correct phone number and address if you have recently changed it to ensure that you can be contacted in times of emergency. If you think that you may not be receiving all of the text messages, please complete the slip at the bottom of the newsletter or let the office know directly.

Sainsbury’s are now issuing their school games vouchers which we are collecting in the office. In the past 2 years we have collected enough vouchers to buy gymnastics and playground equipment for the school! If you do shop in Sainsbury’s we would greatly appreciate any vouchers that are donated to the school. Many thanks.

Following the success of our amazing Christmas Fair, the PTA are having an AGM on  Wednesday 1st February at 7pm in the Cabin. Please come along (even if you do not consider yourself an official member of the PTA). We will be planning future events such as Spring Ball, Mothers Day stall and our Summer Fair. We understand that not everyone can make all meetings so we will also be running Friday morning meet ups on a regular basis, keep an eye on the newsletter for more details.

Livingstone 2 -Trent 0  was a great match both attacking and defensively. Congratulations to all who played; Danny, Aaron, Bobby, Ugur, Pau, Jerom, Bradley, Elijah and Charlie. The man of the match was well deserved by Pau for a brilliant defensive performance. Thank you to all the parents who braved the horrible conditions to support us. We have the best parents ever! By Ugur and Bobby

Congratulations to Phoebe, Arnes, Samira, Farah, Finley & Ryley (3BP), Andra, Sammie, Shannon, Elijah (KF2) for getting Bronze Award for completing their sticker charts.
