October Week 2
Friday 13th October
This year Livingstone are celebrating Black History Month through the themes of Music and Art
On Thursday, children had the opportunity to enjoy live jazz music by the famous Kansas Smitty's House Band and learned about how jazz grew from the black communities in the South of USA to the vibrant music form it is today. Throughout the week, all children were involved in art activities, making portraits of their favourite black music artist and researched their focus artist's life and created interesting fact-files. In addition to studying their artist, every year group have worked on the performance of a song by their focus musician.
Next Friday, 20th October, Black History Month will be drawing to a close, therefore, we would like to invite parents/carers to our final assembly to enjoy the beautiful singing of our children.
9:00 am Assembly: Pupils will be performing from Year 3, 4 and 5 + KF &Choir members
2.45 pm Assembly: Pupils will be performing from Reception, Y1, Y2 + KF

Volunteers please come forward and sign up for the Christmas Fair.
Fireworks and fun with hot food, drinks, glow sticks and more! Underhill School-Friday 3rd November at 6.30pm.
Tickets are £20 for a family of up to 5 and single tickets are £5.
