April Week 3
Friday 19th April
Parents Governor Election - the two candidates are Ada Shum (Brychan’s mum in Reception) and Anisha Topiwalla (Anaiya’s mum in 4T). The ballot papers were handed out to the children this week and if you wish to vote the ballot box is in the main office. Please return ballot papers by Wednesday 25th April 2018.
In the week of St Georges’ Day (Thursday 26th April), the Kitchen team will be making food celebrating great British grub –Toad in the Hole, a vegetarian version and sponge and red berry custard. Children usually on packed lunch can join us for £2.15 to be paid by Tuesday.
Scarlett (3BG) and Jordan (3BG) were awarded Silver and Gold Attendance certificates at the end of the Spring Term.
It is the expectation that pupils must bring their book bags and reading diaries into school every day.
Yr2 Trip to Jewish Museum
First we went on the minibus to High Barnet Station. Then we went on the tube to Camden Town. We were all excited walking to the Jewish Museum. Our guide was called Lisa. The morning workshop was fun. We wrote Hebrew with a pencil, a special pen and a feather. After that, we looked at lots of artefacts and explored the museum. By Amie and Lily M.
Yr 5 Trip to Hatfield House
On the 17th April, Year 5 went to Hatfield House, one of the homes of Henry VIII. The children visited the gardens, they sang with Thomas Tallis and wife number 6, Catherine Parr as well as had court with King Henry himself! (Who commented on what a wonderfully polite and charming class they were!) We then spent the afternoon on the farm where we saw lots of animals and had a tractor ride. We ended the trip by spending time in the adventure playground, enjoying the sunshine. What a lovely day!
