January Week 4
Friday 29th January
The Toy Sale made over £50 in just under an hour, which was amazing!
Thank you to everyone who brought in their pocket money. The money will be spent on consumables and activity toys for the DEN.
Our Road Safety Officers are promoting Road Safety this week. They have asked that all pupils enter our road safety competition to identify hazards. Prizes to be won! Deadline Monday 1st February. Also Nursery and Reception are receiving a free Road safety DVD so make sure you watch it for lots of tips and advice.
Road safety and bike riding will be addressed in assembly but please can parents remind their children of the risks of bike riding on the street. Please ensure that all children come off their scooters and bikes at the school gate and that they are wheeled into the shelter slowly. No bikes or scooters are allowed on the playground or in the building. Also as an additional safety measure we insist that children riding bikes wear a helmet.
The Easter Activity Camp will run for 9 days from Tuesday 29th March – Friday 8th April 2016 and will be open from 8.30am – 5.30pm. Half day and full day sessions are available for booking.
Registration and booking along with payment will be required before Friday 12th February 2016 to secure a place. Please find below details of fees.
If anyone missed Livingstone on Channel 5 news we have recorded a copy for our archive. Please let Mrs Andreou and Ms Papas know if you would like to see 2AP on the news.
Mrs Sood will be leaving us after many years of service having accepted the offer of a Special Needs Co-ordinator post at a local school. We had hoped to say goodbye to her at the end of term but her new appointment has coincided with a call to jury service. We are obviously very sad indeed to lose Mrs Sood who has given so much to the Kingfisher Nursery – but we wish her very well indeed in her new role. She will return to say goodbye officially to everyone when she has completed her duty. In the meantime we have appointed Mrs Pett to work in Kingfisher Nursery.
