October Week 3
Friday 21st October
Livingstone Pupils from Year 2 took part in the Barnet Infant Music Festival hosted at Underhill School. Miss Gomes and Mr Ephgrave came back and told everyone how proud they were of all the pupils as they sang beautifully and were exceptionally well-behaved during the performance. Parents will have a chance to hear their performance at the Year 2 Assembly scheduled for November
Congratulations to the following children for being presented with our first set of Livingstone British Values badges. They have all shown the value 'Democracy' by listening to other's ideas and being fair in the school and the playground.
Year 1-Joel, 2E-Juliet, 2G-Erin, 3S-Zoe, 3BP-Adam, Year 4-Shivani, Year 5-William, Year 6-Daniel A
Please may I remind Parents/Carers to remain civil to members of staff and to other parents even when situations arise that may cause inconvenience or distress. Everyone wants the best for the pupils of Livingstone and not behaving respectfully to each other does not help any situation.
We want to maintain an open-door policy for good home school communication but please remember the class teacher is responsible for 30 pupils, so when you feel the need to discuss something important, please ensure that you make an appointment as lengthy discussions at the start and end of the day can impact on the class teachers ability to start lessons on time and compromise pupil safety.
Due to unexpected circumstances we have had to make major changes to our staffing very early on in the year. We were very sorry to lose Miss Morrison and Mr Smith and wish them best wishes for the future. Thank you to all the parents/carers who have supported the school though this difficult time.
