October Week 3

Friday 20th October

After-half term parents/carers are being invited into school for IMPACT meetings. These meetings are designed to give an insight into how lessons are taught and to give advice on how to help children learn using the latest classroom practice. We have moved Year 3 IMPACT from Monday to Tuesday, as we felt the first day back was a bit too early and other year groups have been allocated  different days to enable parents/carers to attend for each of their children. We suggest that parents who cannot attend, send a carer or speak to the class teacher and arrange a meeting.

Wow! What a great day for Livingstone. On Tuesday 17th October, children from years 4, 5, and 6 competed in a Cross Country Competition at Allianz Park against other schools in Barnet. From Year 4, Roxy, Zoe, Antoni and Alfie were incredible with Zoe beating her personal best from last year. From Year 5, JJ, Luke, Mohammed, Sarah and Darina did amazingly well to also beat their last score. Lastly, a great performance from Arthur and Nayda representing Year 6 Additionally, Arthur was spotted by another teacher from a different school to compliment his kindness for helping one of his pupils to finish the race. Well done to everyone who took part in the competition and thank you to Miss Fairley and Mr Thomas.

Our netball team had their first competitive game of the season against St John’s N11. Everybody played extremely well, Mrs Church and Miss Gordon were proud of how well the team performed. Unfortunately, we didn’t get the result we wanted and lost 5-2. This is a huge achievement though as this is a brand new team with children representing the school for the first time. Well done to Billy, Jack C, Kamsi, Isabella, Daisy, Tillie, and Sarah C, who scored both our goals. (Netball Match Report by Jack Church)

Boccia Tournament

Jonathan, Oliver, Soren and Siddarth from KFF performed brilliantly to achieve a Bronze Medal at the Barnet Inter-schools Boccia Tournament.

Well done. You made us proud!
