May Week 4

Friday 26th May

Book bags – We have looked in children’s book bags and were surprised to see letters that are important for the parents to read. Please can you makes sure you check your child/ren’s book bags for communications from the school.

Reception Assembly – The Reception children did an assembly on the seasons and all that watched were treated to a spectacular performance. The children were amazing, there was dancing, singing, acting and brilliant art work. A special mention has to go to the Reception team who inspired the children – Mrs Feshias, Miss Purse, Mrs Church, Mrs Mendolsohn, Miss Knappett and Ms Matthews.

Uniform – Can we remind all parents that pupils should have their hair tied back and that bows must be small and only white or blue.

Sports Day Tuesday 6th June - This year, Nursery am, Reception, Years 1, 2 and KF1 will start at 9.10 am. Nursery pm, Years 3, 4, 5, 6 and KF2 will start at 1.15 pm.  Please ensure your child has their full Livingstone PE kit and trainers. We will be giving all of the children a coloured bib to wear this year. If the weather is hot please apply sun cream to your child before leaving for school and supply a sun hat/cap.

PTA News - A huge thank you for all the donations that have come in over the past couple of weeks. We now have two splendid tombola stalls and lots of great prizes for the Summer Fair (Saturday 10th June 1-4pm). Please bring in good quality toys and homemade cakes donations on Friday 9.6.17.

The raffle prizes are amazing this year. They include a drone (1st prize), a summer hamper (2nd prize) , a paper package (3rd prize) as well as a family golf session, farm tickets, trampoline session, free MOT.....and many more. If you would like more raffle tickets please see the office and they will take your name. The children who buy the most tickets will be entered into a draw and one child will win a set of tokens to spend at the fair.

We also have some fabulous things in our auction, a letter will be coming home after 1/2 term explaining exactly what is on offer.

What we need now is help on the day. Without sufficient help we will have to cancel some stalls which is such a shame after all the effort that everyone in the school has made so far. PLEASE give an hour or two on the day to make this the best fair ever. You can do this by:

1. Seeing the PTA member at the gate taking names.

2. Seeing your class rep.

3. Leaving your details with the school office. Someone will then contact you.

4. Leaving your details with the breakfast/cabin club staff. Someone will then contact you.
